Tarasewicz’s work’s will be complemented by an educational program co-created with local communities. During her appearance in São Paulo, Tarasewicz will be exploring Polish and Brazilian rhythms in order to create a collective interaction between the Polish mazurka and the Brazilian music heritage.
Furthermore, a new version of the sculpture installation Turba, Turbo (2015) will be also presented by Iza Tarasewicz in São Paulo. The installation is a reconfigurable modular system, which can be rearranged in many ways by locals. In honour of the occasion, all of the materials used in Tarasewicz’s installation will be acquired and produced in Brazil.
The São Paulo Biennale begins on September 8th 2016 and ends on December 11th 2016.
