This collection was created as a result of an ideological impulse – with her jewellery Orska calls for attention and concern for the declining population of honeybees, apis mellifare.
In the APIS collection, one can find 3D-printed earrings shaped like honeybees . Part of the revenue from sales will be donated to the Adopt a Honeybee project.
Since 2013, Greenpeace has been supporting activities aimed to protect honeybees and wild species of pollinators through the Adopt a Honeybee project. The second edition of the project is aimed at helping restore the honeybee population in Przyczyna Dolna, where almost two million of the insects have died. Every two złoty donated to the project is the equivalent of the virtual adoption of one honeybee. The goal was reached – 65 thousand of them were adopted. Anna Orska has decided to join in the continuation of the project. She has started a campaign on social media with the motto #beeORSKA. In order to win jewellery from her latest collection, you needed to send your own visual interpretation of the campaign motto. The most popular theme of the collection was, of course, a honeycomb.
