One of Russia's most talented contemporary theatre directors and speaks about the significance of Polish theatre and literature for his work
Bogomolov is one of the major guests of the upcoming review of Russian theatre scheduled to take place in Warsaw in May 2013. His work was last shown in Poland as part of the Shakespeare Festival in Gdańsk throughout the summer of 2012.
Konstantin Bogomolov (born 1975) is one the most distinct theatre artists in Russia. His performances are always a polemic and nonorthodox vision of reality, provoking many heated discussions. In his work, Bogomolov challenges the traditional approach to literary text, and the understanding of the nature of theatre itself. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including Russia's Mewa (Seagull) and Hit of the Season awards.
