Jacek Sienkiewicz set up Recognition Records in 2012 to pave the way for the release of new electronic tracks produced by him and a select bunch of his Polish and European contemporaries. His page on the Cocoon Recordings website deems Sienkiewicz "an individual with clear, personal vision and an unorthodox approach to music - light years away from the hectic, utilitarian ethos of club-derived electronic beats".
"The Phantom of Bayreuth" comes off the label's Wagner-zwei abhandlungen album - the fruit of Sienkiewicz's collaboration with German producer AtomTM (Uwe Schmidt), which proves that electronica can hold its own in tackling the order and passion of Wagner.
