The true story of Kazik Ratajzer aka Simcha Rotem, a Jewish hero who fought in the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, the Warsaw Uprising, the Six-Day War and the Yom Kippur War, he was one of those who "Wanted to choose how to die". Arnold's film is based on fragments of conversations with Simcha Rotem conducted over a period of 18 years, features archival material both from public and private collections around the world, animations created by Agnieszka Polska and is set to the music of Zygmunt Krauze.
