This festival has been at the forefront of the classical music calendar in Poland since 1997 and continues to grow in stature and reputation on the international scene. In 2004 it moved from Kraków to Warsaw, with its base now firmly established at the Warsaw Philharmonic. Every year the organisers devise the programme around different aspects of Beethoven’s Age of Enlightenment ideas of uniting people by a core set of values, influences on his own work as a composer and Beethoven’s influence on his musical contemporaries.
