Kwai Tsing Theatre
The opening of Kwai Tsing Theatre in November 1999 was a milestone in the cultural development of Hong Kong. The well-equipped Theatre has a auditorium with 899 seats which can cater for all types of performing arts. The Black Box Theatre was opened in May 2008 and it is the first black box theatre at the Leisure and Cultural Services Department's performing venues to meet the growing demand for holding small scale and experimental theatrical productions among local arts groups. With a maximum capacity of 160 seats, the Black Box Theatre is most suitable for small scale innovative theatre and dance productions. Other facilities include a Lecture Room, a Dance Studio and a Rehearsal Room.
Kwai Tsing Theatre is conveniently located, being just opposite to the MTR Kwai Fong Station, and has an efficient public transportation system close at hand. With its optimal location and diversified facilities, Kwai Tsing Theatre is an ideal venue for holding functions ranging from small scale productions to large scale stage performances, and continues being the focal point for the arts.
