Wojchech Zamecznik was among the most prominent representatives of the Polish School of Posters, his style being characterized by a highly technical approach. Between 1940-42, he studied at the Interior Design Department of the Higher School of Engineering (Wyższa Szkoła Budownictwa) in Warsaw, as well as took part in secret courses of the Warsaw's University of Technology's Architecture Faculty. After the war, the continued studying at the same faculty of the University of Technology. He was detained at the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp.
