Jan Frycz was an actor associated with the country’s most important stages, including the National Old Theatre in Kraków, the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre in Kraków and the National Theatre in Warsaw.
Frycz was the recipient of numerous awards, including three Eagles, Poland’s most prestigious film award, for Pornography (2003), Pręgi (The Welts) (2004) and 25 Lat Niewinności: Sprawa Tomka Komendy (25 Years of Innocence: The Case of Tomek Komenda) (2021). He also received multiple awards at the Dwa Teatry Festival of Polish Radio Theatre and Polish Television Theatre in Sopot for his outstanding performances in Television Theatre. He was awarded the Gloria Artis Medal of Merit to Culture (Gold).
