On 17th-18th May 2019, contemporary art exhibition Celebration with the participation of Polish and Japanese artists was opened at Kyoto's Nijo-jo Castle and Kyoto Art Center. During the opening ceremony, Polish Vice Minister of Culture Paweł Lewandowski awarded the curator of the exhibition Professor Akiko Kasuya with the Medal for Merit to Culture – Gloria Artis. Apart from the Kyoto Art Center and Nijo-jo Castle, exhibitions from the Celebration series are presented from 18th May to 23rd June 2019 in the spaces of ROHM Theater and The Terminal Kyoto. After the presentation in Japan, the exhibition will be shown in Poland at the Poznań Art Week 2019 and at the TRAFO Center for Contemporary Art in Szczecin.
