The concert will be performed by the Warsaw Philharmonic Choir led by Henryk Wojnarowski, and the soloists: soprano Marta Boberska, mezzosoprano Anna Lubańska, tenor Rafał Bartmiński, and bass-baritone Jarosław Bręk. Accompanying them on the organ will be Andrzej Białko.
The choir will present a broad selection of Polish music, spanning from medieval music (Wincenty of Kielcza, the first non-anonymous Polish composer), early baroque (Mikołaj Zieleński) and romanticism (Stanisław Moniuszko) to contemporary music (Górecki, Penderecki, Świder). The concert will be opened with a ceremonial rendition of Gaude Mater Polonia. The performance will included the following compositions: Moniuszko's Mass in D-flat Major, Penderecki's Agnus Dei, Górecki's Totus Tuus and Józef Świder's Czego Chcesz od Nas Panie. The concert will close with a rendition of Zieleński's Magnificat.
The jubilee concert by the Warsaw Philharmonic will be held on 1st April 2016 at 7:30pm CET. It will be simultaneously broadcasted on both the Philharmonic's website and on the orchestra's YouTube channel.
