The start-up gallery offers over 600 original works by nearly 100 of Poland's freshest artists on the international scene
Savvy investors have the opportunity to ramp up their stock of premium contemporary art with a few clicks, from Oskar Dawicki's stirring photographs and Wilhelm Sasnal's neo-Pop prints to Aleksandra Waliszewska's uneasy portraits of sylvan beings. The roster of artists spans solid names including Jerzy Lewczyński and Zbigniew Libera to up-and-comers such as Agnieszka Grodzińska, Honza Zamojski and Bownik.
Works range from original photography, paintings (framed or unframed), graphic works, illustrations, sketches and limited-edition publications. Subject matter tracks everyday life, fantastic and surreal visions of urban life, macabre fancies, imaginative collages and powerful glimpses into various subcultures. Artists featured on Artvolver are among the vibrant names on the global art market, with works in major public and private collections around the world.
Zbigniew Rogalski's seemingly plain objects - bike tires and bird wings - are given a singular aspect thanks to his characteristic photography technique combining simplicity with bare aesthetics. His works are set alongside the dynamic photographs of Zbigniew Libera, full of social angst and political statements, Michał Grochowiak's intriguing modern landscapes and the geometric cityscapes of Mateusz Szczypiński.
Poland's leading art galleries are represented, including Asymetria, Czarna, Fundacja Archeologii Fotografii, Kolonie, Le Guern, Leto, Lokal_30, m2, Raster, Starter and Galeria Stereo. Visitors to the site must register to see the price of works (ranging from 100 euro to 1,000 euro and up) then can submit an inquiry regarding a particular work. Artvolvers dealers can arrange for a meeting at the gallery or simply arrange a sale and delivery of the purchased work.
