The artist 'explores' painting - especially the aspects associated with reproduction and mass reception. She looks for visual analogies, compiles meanings, plays with the relationship of the original and its copy, tracks repetitiveness and pop-culture reactions to contemporary art. Her technique is based to a large extent on the postproduction process, making use of book reproductions and found footage presented in combination with her own works - mainly photographs.
In the era of wiki-images (taken out of context, of an unknown size, technique, source) even the original is just a temporary backdrop for our activities, excursions, artistic tourism.
The exhibition is accompanied by the book "Echo Park", published by Morava Books.
