They have been experimenting with building their own instruments from the very beginning of Małe Instrumenty's existence, but it was not until recently that they decided to bring this idea to life. Soon, unique ‘sound objects’ were created. They’ve worked hard for six months and came up with absolutely new and imaginative solutions.
Samoróbka (Self-Made) is not only a new album by Małe Instrumenty but also a book by Paweł Romańczuk, which describes each of the instruments invented by band members and gives some advice on the possibilities of experimenting with the construction of new ones.
The release is an attempt to meet the bands members’ ambition to develop the imagination of their listeners and encourage them to create music on their own, starting from the scratch, i.e. building simple instruments. It is also a collection of experiences and memories of meetings with inspiring people. Above all, it is an invitation to the experimental world of sound creation.
