Michał Marczak's documentary Fuck for Forest trails the FFF non-profit organisation into the most intimate area of their activity as they earn money for saving the rain forest by selling their sexuality
Marczak, the award-winning director of the 2010 documentary At the Edge of Russia / Koniec Rosji, takes up an entirely new, controversial topic for his latest film project. Fuck for Forest tells the story of Danny, who joins the FFF organisation's 1,300 members in sharing their bodies for nature. The FFF website sells its members intimate photographs and videos in order to gain revenue to support the preservation of indigenous communities in Costa Rica, Brazil, Peru and Slovenia.
The film documents the group's travels around the world, spreading their message at festivals. It is a narrative-driven story that loosely revolves around the group's environmental projects, but focuses on subjects like sexuality, contemporary lifestyles, western morals and cultural variants of human perception. The film is scheduled for release in 2012.
