A three-part fact-based miniseries of hour-long episodes, an HBO Europe production about Jan Palach - a student who sacrificed his life in Prague in January 1969 in the name of the fight against the communist regime. Holland’s film follows the legal efforts of the Palach family and their lawyer to clear his name in the face of the communist propaganda machine. Critics praise the series, saying that "HBO Europe started making original shows six years ago, but its upcoming miniseries Burning Bush marks a new level of budget and ambition."
