Starting December 1, 2007 till June 30, 2009, due to revitalizng and modernizing works, all the Palace's exhibitions have been closed for visitors. See the schedule of the works....
Opened in 1949, the Rogalin Museum is comprised of a Baroque and Classical palace from the second half of the eighteenth century, redesigned by D. Merlini and J. C. Kamsetzer, and a pavilion built in the years 1909-1910. The buildings are surrounded by a Baroque garden in the French style from the second half of the eighteenth century, and an English garden from the early nineteenth century with its famous clump of ancient oaks.
The holdings include late nineteenth and early twentieth century Western European and Polish paintings from the collection of Edward Aleksander Raczyński, which includes works by Jan Matejko, Jacek Malczewski, Olga Boznańska, Wojciech Weiss, Fritz Thaulow, Albert Besnard and Ignazio Zuloaga. The interiors contain furniture and decorative arts pieces that were in the palace in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. There is also a collection of coaches dating to the first quarter of the twentieth century. Of special interest is a faithful replica of the London study of Edward Bernard Raczyński, the President of the Polish Republic in emigration and the last male member of the Rogalin line of the Raczyński family. Raczyński, who in 1991 founded the Raczynski Foundation at the National Museum, Poznań, had his study at 8, Lennox Street in London, the flat where he spent the last twenty-six years of his life.
Permanent exhibitions: "Gallery of European and Polish Painting from the Late Nineteenth and Early Twentieth Centuries" (includes more than 250 paintings from Edward Aleksander Raczynski's collection); "Gallery of the Forefathers and the London Study of President Edward Raczynski"; "Palace Interiors of the Eighteenth and Nineteenth Centuries"; "The Coach-house and Horse-Drawn Coaches from the First Quarter of the Twentieth Century".
