Beijing Modern Music Festival (BMMF) is the largest and the most prestigious contemporary music festival in China. Founded in 2002 by China’s prominent composer professor Ye Xiaogang, Vice-President of the Central Conservatory of Music (CCoM), the Festival is committed to promoting the development of modern music in China, as well as building an exchange platform for young musicians. Since its first edition in 2002, BMMF has gradually become one of the most important modern music festivals in the world, offering not only very rich programme of concerts, but also an extensive educational programme, including, among others, numerous conferences, lectures, workshops and master classes. The Festival is held yearly in May in the premises of the Central Conservatory of Music (CCoM) in Beijing.
