The New World (2015) is a film showing moving stories of three young people who are trying to find their place in the better world — in Poland. Żanna and her child are running away from Belarus, leaving their husband and father, a well-known dissident. Azzam worked as a translator for the Polish army in Afghanistan, as a result of which he was considered a traitor in his homeland. Now he is trying to deal with the war trauma. Wiera, rejected by her family, left Ukraine to start a new life, yet unexpectedly the old one knocked on her door.
