Culture.pl presents selected exhibits from the Gallery of Polish Design at the National Museum in Warsaw, which displays the most compelling works by Polish designers – from the early 20th century up until modern times.
Visitors have an opportunity to travel through time and discover the most significant phenomena of the Polish applied design, from the Zakopane style, the Kraków Workshops Association, the ‘Ład’ Visual Artists Society, to modernists from the Praesens Association circle, various postwar projects and the best examples of contemporary Polish design. Besides icons of Polish design, the gallery also displays archival materials, e.g. photographs and excerpts from newsreels, which give the exhibits some historical background. The exhibition opened on 15th December 2017 at the National Museum in Warsaw.
