The first complete retrospective of
Krzysztof Kieślowski's works will be shown in Israel.
The program will include student works as well as documentary and feature films - altogether over thirty films by one of the best and most famous Polish directors. The films will range from his first student work The Tram to the last feature film Red made as part of the Three Colours cycle.
The retrospective - the first film event of the
Polish Year in Israel - will be accompanied by the exhibition Signs and Memory prepared by the Museum of Cinematography in Lodz, and a publication of the book "What is Kieslowski telling us today?".
"The Double Life of Veronica"
The event will be held in the Cinematheques of Jerusalem, Haifa and Tel Aviv on 6-15 April. The opening ceremony will take place in Jerusalem Cinematheque on 6 April, 8.30 PM with the presence of Krzysztof Kieslowski's cinematographers:
Jacek Petrycki and Witold Stok. The film Camera Buff will be screened during the Gala.
