The Transatlantyk International Festival of Film and Music in Poznań took place between the 8th of May 2011 to the 13th of August 2011 and features hundreds of screenings, open-air concerts, discussion panels, workshops and master classes with international guests from the film, art and music industry. The ultimate goal of the festival is to stimulate open debates on current social topics. "Open, Bold and Glocal" is the festival's ideology, focusing on local identities and actions with simultaneous understanding of their reflective impact on a global scale. The founder and director of the Festival is 2004 Academy Award winner Jan A.P. Kaczmarek calls the festival "a new artistic platform aimed at building a stronger relationship between society, art and the environment through music and movies".
Tomasz Opasiński (born in 1975) is a computer Graphics Specialist in Publishing and Advertising, based in Los Angeles. He has been collaborating on the artistic and creative aspects of over 350 visual campaigns for such films as Bourne Ultimatum, Hellboy, Hulk, I am Legend, Ice Age, King Kong, Shrek, The Fountain, Zodiac Transformers. He has participated, as a competitor and as a jury member, in many domestic and international contests including Young Creatives Cannes Lions Contest (Warsaw, Poland), The Hollywood Reporter Annual Key Art Awards (Hollywood, USA) or Golden Trailer Awards (New York / Los Angeles, USA). He was also awarded a Guru Award in Photoshop Excellence presented by the National Association of Photoshop Professionals at PhotoshopWorld conference (San Diego, USA).
