The film project takes place in Moscow as well as Warsaw, Minsk, Kiev, Beijing, Tokyo and Brussels. Each 'edition' of the series comes in two parts: the first is a series of film-maker workshops for students in the city in question. The second part is a public screening of the hour-long films devised during the workshops, coupled with showings of films from the tutors leading the workshops
The workshop leaders include both renowned Polish film theorists and documentary film-makers. The film concept itself derives from a film exercise at Łódź film school, where students set out to capture the city of Łódź from "dawn till dusk". Film students in each of the seven Presidency project cities will equally set out to capture their home cities.
