The international theatre production drew its inspiration from a search for memories of childhood games and play: poems, nursery rhymes, songs, lullabys, and popular outdoor games
Old childhood toys also made an appearance in the performance: little horses, buckets, and building blocks employed in the project became theatre props of a surprising character. "Ludica" is facetious, playful in Spanish. In working with actors, Solange Bonfil resorted to very simple childhood games, such as hide-and-seek, tag, and "red light-green light one, two, three". When spoken by adults, sounds and phrases found in children's rhymes opened up onto a witty and grotesque theatre.
The exchange of games remembered from childhood went on freely, overcoming any language or cultural barriers. We all share a common place in the past as a child: someone who not only plays but also believes the game. This allows us all to play and opens up a world of unknown expressions of an actor's body and gestures.
Polish and Spanish actors of the Enczima Teatro group (from ASOCIACIÓN POLINESHKIA) took part in the project. Sala El Taller was be the project's working space as well as a venue for three final showings.
