Among the participants was the 12-member SEPIA Ensemble from Poznan, led by the originator of the project, Professor Lidia Zielinska from the Poznan Academy of Music. On 24th October a concert of works by Polish composers (Lidia Zielinska, Rafal Zapala, Magdalena Dlugosz, Katarzyna Taborowska, Ryszard Osada, Anna Zawadzka-Golosz) was held and on 25th October - the concert of Witold Lutoslawski's works (Bucolics, Dance Preludes, Subito, Funeral Music). In addition, some of the SEPIA Ensemble musicians gave lectures and workshops. Moreover, sound installations were presented in the space of the Central Conservatory of Music (CCoM), the host of the event.
Established in 1994, Musicacoustica festival is one of the largest festivals of its kind in Asia, bringing together performers, composers and scholars from many countries. It is organized by the Centre for Electronic Music of China (CEMC), operating at the CCoM, and the Electronic Music Association of China (EMAC). Each year the festival features a different topic - in this year's edition it will be "Innovation".
Professor Lidia Zielinska of the Poznan Academy of Music is an internationally recognized composer, lecturer and researcher. She is also the Vice President of the Board of the Polish Composers' Union and Vice President of the Polish Society for Electroacoustic Music.
