Leszek Bzdyl further explains:
In my technique the very impulse initiates a dance as efficiently as any form of voice training. My dance and theatre sessions are a result of a rich individual experience evolved during 20 years of studio and theatre practise with Dada von Bzdülöw Theatre and 140 theatre/choreographic projects from 1987-2012. I have been strongly influenced by encounters with inspirational artists, amongst them are- Marek Oleksy, Rip Parker, Randall Scott, Cornelius Fisher Credo, Chris Aiken and Thomas Hauert. These individuals determined my movement system.
Organic dance movements do not create barriers between a stage dialogue and creation of abstract forms.
I will lead a workshop which is mostly focused on an encoded lesson of contemporary dance. An essential part of this process is relaxation and improvisation in dancing and action. In my work I concentrate on such preparation of a dancer so that his/her body consciousness, rhythm consciousness and dance economy would assist a kind of awareness and allow more freedom during the creation of theatre and choreography. In this workshop you will learn and experience:
– consistent balance between tension and relaxation
– integration & co-ordination of movement and breathing
– conscious usage of individual potential and innate abilities when dancing.
