International Games Week is aimed at gaming fans, computer industry representatives and the media. It is one of Europe's largest platforms for communication, networking and exchanging of experiences between computer games producers from all around the world.
This year's International Games Week focuses primarily on three events: "Quo Vadis", "Gamefest" and "A Maze". "Quo Vadis" is a platform addressed to professionals, enabling contact between game producers, media and distributors. The event "Gamefest", organized around the exhibition at Computerspielemuseum (Computer Game Museum) focuses on game culture in general. "A Maze" is a fair targeting the young, independent part of the market.
Polish Games Day
Polish Games Day is intended to showcase Polish games within the platform of International Games Week. The events of the day will have a focus on game culture, technology and business in Poland with the cooperation from luminaries of the gaming scene. Polish Day Games will be held April 10, 2014.
The key event of Polish Games Day is the Polish Game Cinema at the Cubix Cinema, focusing on the visual aspects of gaming. Game trailers and show reels will be presented on the cinema screens.
Highlights of the evening include a presentation by Marek Ziemiak of 11 bit studios on the subject of their new game, This War of Mine, as well as trailers from CD Projekt, Artifex Mundi, Crunching Koalas and Platige Image.
Exhibition at Computerspielemuseum
A core part of Polish Games Day is the exhibition Let’s Play - Games from France and Poland in the Computerspielemuseum. The exhibition aims to familiarize the public with the booming gaming market in Poland by presenting the best Polish productions. The museum will present a broad cross-section of games: from action to educational games by both independent and well-established studios. A total of 10 games for different platforms will be shown. The exhibition runs from 8 April to 8 May, 2014.
