One of the films presented at the Festival was 'Leaders' directed by Paweł Ferdek, children’s political thriller depicting the battle among candidates for students’ council in a primary school. The film's producer Wojciech Szczudło and the director also took part in the educational part of the Festival – "Docs for Edu", during which they answered questions from the audience.
Another Polish documentary shown as part of DMZ Docs Official Selection was Aneta Popiel-Machnicka’s 'Sometimes I Dream I’m Flying', a moving story of a young ballet dancer, striving to fulfill her dreams.
The DMZ International Documentary Film Festival is held annually in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) north of Seoul. In 2014, the festival screened 110 documentaries from around the world.
It is the second time Polish documentaries were presented at the DMZ Docs. In 2012, the Festival hosted a special Polish programme titled "Focus: Polish Docs Special", including several productions of the Wajda Studio.
