The first presentation of the Polish Design exhibition was initiated by Culture.pl and held in October 2014 at the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven. After its success in the Netherlands, this collection of works by Polish designers was on view in Concordia Design in Poland. In autumn 2015, Polish designers conquered the hearts of Indonesians.
Polish Design: In the Middle of, held in the art and design space Dia.Lo.Gue, showed works by the most renowned designers and representatives of a new design generation. Works by more than 30 designers, collectives, producers and students were on display. According to Izabela Bołoz, the curator, this exhibition championed the best things about Polish design:
One of the most important Polish values is hospitality, that is why the exhibition will be presented in the form of a long table, the central place in all Polish houses, and will invite everyone to sit, talk and spend time together. The narration in the exhibition is based on 4 topics: furniture and home; technology; ceramics and tableware; and toys for children.
The exhibition included works by Oskar Zięta, Marek Cecuła, Bolesławiec ceramics, Kristoff porcelain, Ewa Solarz, Dice+, Agnieszka Bar, Laloushka, Robert Czajka (Papierowe Miasto), Agnieszka Czop, KABO & PYDO and others.
