The curators of the Postartistic Assembly are Marianna Dobkowska and Sebastian Cichocki.
Sebastian Cichocki is the Chief Curator at the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, his in-house curatorship work including i.a. the exhibitions Who Will Write the History of Tears. Artists on Women’s Rights (2021), Primary Forms (2021-), The Penumbral Age. Art in the Times of Planetary Crisis (2020), and Never Again. Art against War and Fascism in the 20th and 21st centuries (2019). His curated and co-curated exhibition portfolio includes the Postartistic Congress (Sokołowsko, 2021, with Marianna Dobkowska) and the Polish Pavilion at the 52nd and 54th Venice Biennale. Sebastian Cichocki is the Curator of the 40th EVA International – Ireland’s Biennial in Limerick (2023). He is a 2018 fellow at the Center for Curatorial Leadership, MoMA, New York.
Marianna Dobkowska is a curator responsible for the co-design of the residency programme at the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art in Warsaw. A curator of exhibitions, processes and situations, she combines practices derived from the fields of visual and performing arts, education and activism. She is co-author and co-curator of the international curatorial seminars Re-Directing: East (2013-2020), and (with Krzysztof Łukomski) of Gotong Royong. Things We Do Together (2017-2018), an exhibition-meeting at the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art, and co-editor of the book Things We Do Together. The Post-reader published by Mousse Publishing. She collaborates with the international network Red de Pedagogias Empaticas. Together with Sebastian Cichocki, she is a curator of the Postartistic Congress in Sokołowsko (2021-). She is a founding member of the Office for Postartistic Services.
