Roger Donaldson, chairman of the jury for the main competition that it had chosen three films that were very different from each other, from Agnieszka Holland's tale of human survival, compassion and cruelty in the Lviv ghetto during the Uprising during World War 2 to a family dram set in Iran to a classic story of love on the brink of madness.
The Silver Frog went to Mahmoud Kalari for "Nader and Simin, A Separation" (directed by Asghar Farhadi). "Suicide Room", with cinematography by Radosław Ładczuk and direction by Jan Komasa, was named Best Polish Film, while The Golden Frog for best full-length documentary film went to Tomasz Wolski for his work on"Doctors" (as both cinematographer and director).
Alongside the Main Competition, Polish Films Competition and Documentary Film Competition, the event also honoured the best cinemagraphers for Student Etudes, Documentary Shorts, Music Videos. Special events included the Plus Camerimage Market, Plus Camerimage Forum, special screenings and premieres, various reviews, retrospectives, meetings, and also accompanying events such as art exhibitions and music performances.
Thanks to an increasing openness towards noteworthy artists and the new film phenomena they create, PLUS CAMERIMAGE brought in a new category last year - the Feature Debuts Competition.

The International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography PLUS CAMERIMAGE is the most recognisable European festival dedicated to the art of cinematography and its creators – cinematographers. PLUS CAMERIMAGE contributes to the growth of the prestige of the work of the cameraman. The unconventional format of the Festival, which awards films according to their visual, aesthetic and technical values, has turned out to be an alternative for traditional film festivals.
The 19th International Festival of the Art of Cinematography PLUS CAMERIMAGE took place between the 26th of November - December 3rd in Bydgoszcz
