Zachęta hosts musical workshops for kids and adults, welcoming even the most inexperienced players to discover new channels of creativity
Collective creativity formed the basis of the I, CULTURE programme - the cultural programme of the Polish EU Presidency in 2011. Based on the premise that anyone can make music, Zachęta hosts workshops to inspire musicality in creative people of all ages. In the words of Grzegorz Wierus, "Active participation in artistic events is priceless"
Play the I, CULTURE Orchestra is a series of workshops created by the Fundacja Muzyka jest dla wszystkich (Music is for All Foundation) in cooperation with the Adam Mickiewicz Institute and Yamaha company.
As part of the I, CULTURE Orchestra project, young and talented musicians from Eastern Europe had the opportunity to work under the direction of some of the most eminent teachers from leading orchestras in Western Europe, such as the London Symphony Orchestra, Opera de Lyon and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. 100 new talents under 25 from all over the region came together to create a highly succesful tour that merged a profound pan-European ideology with a high quality of performance and harmony.
