Piotr Subotka's feature film tells the story of 12-year-old Damian, who is convinced that his father is a well-known football player on the Celtic Glasgow team. The boy saves up money to travel to Scotland, working along the way as a construction worker to make money. 15-year-old Monika is the love of his life - and pregnant - and he vows to take her and the child to a better life.
The film stars Rafał Garnecki, Sandra Korzeniak, Zygmunt Malanowicz,Adam Graczyk, Filip Garbacz, Jowita Budnik oraz Marcin Tyrol.The festival also presented a selection of films from graduates of the Andrzej Wajda Film School: Agnieszka Smoczyńska, Grzegorz Zariczny, Renata Gabryjelska, Lesław Dobrucki, Marcin Sautera and Julia Popławska.
Glasgow won a Golden Apricot at the 2011 International Film Festival in Yerevan, Armenia and the 2012 International short Film Festival in Kharkiv, Ukraine. It also received a special jury prize at the Tous Courts International Film Festival in Aix-en-Provence, France in 2011.
