The exhibition raises the issue of the artist's personal, social, geographical and intimate territory, which is why the exhibit is subtitled with slogans: LIMITATION, TERRITORY, IDENTIFICATION
Natalia LL see's art as the only possible activity that can resist destruction and "drowning" in everyday life.
"Fears and anxieties of everyday life seem to be unbearably painful. With the greatest difficulty, as a swimmer in ice floe water, manages to maintain the direction towards our activities. All of this is the difficulty of existence, confirmation of existence and suffering of existence. The art which I try to practice every day attempts to identify, describe and enroll these existential tremors. Art is hope, that life has meaning. That existence makes sense". (Natalia LL, November 2010)
The exhibition features about 50 works, including large-format pieces, installations and films that are a summary of the artists previous work, presenting such series as: Consumer Art, Post-Consumer Art, Artificial Photography, Animal Art, Dreaming, Cosmic Man and her most recent work: Reality of a Myth - "Transfiguration of Odin", "Odin's Giggle" and "Odin's Raven".
In her art Natalia Lach-Lachowicz comes out of conceptualism which she extends to being open on reality, combining reflections on art and human existence. Her work provokes, irritates and excites but also leads to consideration.
"I wonder about the special energy, power, something like vis vitalis which is the basis of artistic creation. In my case it's about identifying, defining and limiting the intimate territory as the only activity resisting against disintegration, entropy and destruction. This private, discreet intimacy becomes an enchanted garden where I discover thought-provoking, beautiful and unknown flowers. I would be happy if some of my journeys could gratify and enrich other people, who are the receivers of my art". (Natalia LL, August 2008)
