It will be a unique opportunity to confront the outcomes of Polish and foreign studies on Tadeusz Kantor’s heritage and for an exchange of academics’ and artists’ experiences.
Programme:
- Two Chasids with the Desk of Last Resort – performance by two brothers, Lesław and Wacław Janicki, inspired by the scene from the play I Shall Never Return Here.
- Choreographic Machine – a play directed by Anne Hébraud. It combines elements from Kantor’s works and modern dance and theatre. The play will be presented by the academic troupe Solo Multitude and students of Art’Com.
- Variations on Kantor – a play directed by Kasia Kurzeja, inspired by the musical scores of Kantor’s plays, performed by the Pollen academic troupe.
- Polyphonies – a concert inspired by Kantor’s play, directed by Paweł Moszumański.
- Soundtrack – a presentation of music pieces which made up Kantor’s plays: Tango della Rose, (Bottero), Jewish folk music from Dalla sabbia, dal tempo play, Offenbach’s La Belle Hélène, Haydn’s String Quartets, Op. 76 or Beethoven’s Eroica.
The event is co-organised by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, the University of Toulouse and Theatre Garonne.
