A series of songs by four poets opened by Czesław Miłosz's "Song about the end of the world" written in 1944 in Warsaw

Alan Gilbert, musical director of the New York Philharmonic, asked John Corigliano, one of the greatest living contemporary American composers, Oscar-winner for the music for the film "The Red Violin", lecturer at the prestigious Julliard School, to create a musical composition commemorating the victims of the World Trade Center attacks.
The composition entitled "One Sweet Morning" is a series of songs for the mezzosoprano and orchestra. The concert takes on the 30th of September and the 1st and 4th of October 2011. Stephanie Blythe, the mezzosoprano singer, performs alongside members of the New York Philharmonic orchestra.
