Meeting with Polish film director Wojciech Smarzowski was held at Tokyo’s VACANT gallery, hosting the project +48 Social Club.
Wojciech Smarzowski’s latest film "The Mighty Angel", based on the novel by Jerzy Pilch, participated in the main competition of the 27th Tokyo International Film Festival 2014 and the leading actor in this film, Robert Więckiewicz, received the Best Actor Award for his performance. Competition screenings, which took place in late October 2014, were the film’s Asian premiere. This was the second work of Wojciech Smarzowski which qualified for this competition. In 2009, his film "The Dark House" was also shown at the Tokyo International Film Festival.
Meeting with the director and members of the film crew of "The Mighty Angel", combined with the show of photos of the production process, was held on 29th October at 6:00 pm at VACANT club.
