Chinese fans of classical music had the extraordinary opportunity to listen to Chopin's music as performed by the distinguished Polish artist Beata Bilińska. Her two concerts took place in the famous Forbidden City Concert Hall in Beijing and in Wuhan.

Beata Bilińska has won various international piano competitions. In 1993, she was runner-up in the Artur Rubinstein in Memoriam 1st International Piano Competition in Bydgoszcz, then in 1994 she became a finalist of the 46th Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition in Bolzano. In 2002, she won 1st prize and the audience award in the Rina Sala Gallo International Piano Competition in Monza. Bilińska has performed at many prestigious festivals and concerts in Poland and in over twenty other countries around the world. In 2003, she had the honour of playing in New York's Carnegie Hall, giving a recital in the Isaac Stern Auditorium.
