Thanks to cooperation with experts in historical interpretation, the festival provides its audiences with a unique opportunity of experiencing the original sound of Romantic music. Taking part in the event are Frans Brüggen’s Orchestra of the 18th Century, Philippe Herreweghe and the Orchestre des Champs-Elysées, Fabio Biondi’s Europa Galante, Concerto Köln, Andreas Staier, Kristian Bezuidenhout.
In addition to the participation of these specialist musicians, each year's edition features performances by most prominent artists, such as Martha Argerich, Fou Ts’ong, Nelson Freire, Dang Thai Son, Garrick Ohlsson, Nelson Goerner, Emanuel Ax, Maria João Pires and others.
The event comprises a presentation of the sources of Chopin’s music and its resonance in contemporary Europe, thus encompassing a programme of music from Baroque era up to the present. The event's concerts arouse the interest of many international music lovers and are broadcasted on the radio and internet, enabling millions of listeners to experience unique festival performances.
