It is not a coincidence that the vocalist returned to perform in one of the most famous jazz clubs in Tokyo. It was there that she had made her Japanese debut many years ago and met the eminent Japanese jazz pianist Makoto Ozone, with whom she later recorded the album Haiku, combining Polish and Japanese music traditions.
This time, the programme of Anna Maria Jopek's five concerts performed with Krzysztof Herdzin, Robert Kubiszyn and Paweł Dobrowolski included, among other things, a selection of Polish Christmas carols.
Blue Note Tokyo, founded in 1988, is a jazz club located in the exclusive district of Tokyo, enjoying a reputation of one of the most important jazz clubs in the world.
