Global Public Diplomacy Network (GPDnet) is an association of medium-sized cultural institutions from around the world. To date, the Multilateral Memorandum of Understanding concerning international cooperation was signed by eight institutions: Adam Mickiewicz Institute (Poland), Camoes Institute (Portugal), Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation for International Scholarly Exchange (Taiwan), Korea Foundation (Korea), National Commission for Culture and Arts (Philippines), National Institute for Cultural Orientation (Nigeria), Singapore International Foundation (Singapore) and Yunus Emre Institute (Turkey). The aim of the association is to create strategies and plans concerning a variety of jointly implemented projects, with the hope of exchanging experience and intensive cooperation between the member institutions.
Both of last year's meetings of the association members were aimed at exchanging opinions on the future activities of the GPDNet and its final shape. At this year's conference, the most important issues concerning the future activities of the association were discussed and its statute was approved. An important part of the conference were lectures delivered by the representatives of the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, Korea Foundation and the National Commission of the Philippines on the possibility of realization of UN Millennium Development Goals through the promotion of culture and discussions on possible future joint cultural and educational projects.

Another advantage for the GPDnet conference participants was the opportunity to take part in the Jeju Forum, held at the same time and place. Jeju Forum is a conference organized on Jeju Island in Korea since 2001, which aims at building peace and prosperity in East Asia, putting emphasis on stability and security in the region through international cooperation. This year, the Forum was attended by nearly 4,000 participants from over 50 countries.
On the initiative of the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, Poland will host next year's GPDnet conference. The meeting is scheduled for June 2016.
