A few seasons ago, Donizetti's shining The Elixir of Love in Covent Garden was the beginning of the idyllic performances blooming between these two stars. While the French tenor has for many years enjoyed great popularity with French audiences, his Polish partner won their hearts after successes at the Met in New York and the Royal Opera House in London's Covent Garden. In France, after the moving title role in Maria Stuarda at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Kurzak made her debut at the Paris Opera House as Adina in The Elixir of Love opposite Nemorino as played by her current partner. The splendid colour of her voice and the strength she brings to characters will enchant the audience of this new programme made up of the most beautiful duets about love from French and Italian opera.
