Among the greenery of the Luxembourg Gardens, the audience will have a chance to hear unique arrangements of Chopin's works. Adam Golka, Andrzej Jagodziński, Justyna Lechman, Joanna Pietrzyk, Yves Henry and Katarzyna Mościcka will take part in the performances.
The Parisian concerts are the most important cultural and artistic event organized by the city of Warsaw outside of Poland. The inspiration for the concerts in the Luxembourg Gardens are the summer piano recitals which for more than half a century were held in Łazienki Królewskie Park (Royal Baths Park) in Warsaw.
The festival is traditionally accompanied by art exhibitions in the Paris subway. This year, they are organized in collaboration with the Stołeczna Estrada cultural institution, the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts (line 14: Madeleine, Gare de Lyon, and Pyramide stations) and the Museum of the History of Polish Jews (line 14: Bercy station and line 3: Europe station). As part of this event, a video about the new architecture of Warsaw, concerning the building of the MHPJ, will also be displayed.
All concerts are free of charge.
The event is organized by the city of Warsaw, the Polish Institute in Paris, Stołeczna Estrada, the Senate of the French Republic, the Museum of the History of Polish Jews and the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, among others.
