21 movies entered the main competition, while 15 other films will be shown as part of the Panorama of Polish Cinema. Highlights include a review of Iclandic and Norwegian films and a concert of Jan Garbarek.
Polish Feature Film Festival is not only about the movies. The events programmed include concerts, exhibitions, conferences, debates and discussions. For the first time in its histoty, the Festival will take place in May and although it's been only 8 months since
the last edition of the event, 39 films have been accepted for the competition. The 21 movies in the main competition will be judged by a Jury chaired by Polish director
Andrzej Barański. Once again, the Festival will abound in debut movies - in fact, seven of the 21 films in the competition are debuts.
The 35th PFFF will open with a special screening of the newest animation of
Tomasz Bagiński Animated History of Poland which until now was screened only once - at the Polish Pavilion of the
Expo 2010 in Shanghai, China.

Independent Film Competition and Film Etudes Competition
First film works of students and alumnis of film schools will be subjected to public scrutiny. The films will be judged by a jury chaired by
Bartosz Konopka. Other members of the jury include: Roma Gąsiorowska, Michał Konca, Dominik Matwiejczyk and Agnieszka Smoczyńska.
Icelandic and Norwegian Film Review
35th Polish Film Festival will be accompanied by Icelandic Film Review and Norwegian Film Review. Alltogether, 12 films will be presented: 7 Icelandic and 5 Norwegian. All of them were created between 2006 and 2009 and they have never been screened in Poland, which makes them even more attractive. The screenings will be accompanied by meetings with filmmakers: directors, screenwriters, producers and actors.
One of the musical events accompanying 35th Polish Film Festival is the concert of Jan Garbarek Group. The visit of the father of Scandinavian jazz scene is a part of this year's Norwegian and Icelandic Day on the festival.
Polonica - films with a Polish part!
As every year during the Polish Film Festival, a special review entitled Polonica will feature foreign productions with the participation of Polish artists. The program includes Neil Jordan's Ondine with Alicja Bachleda-Curuś, Ivan Vyrypayev's Oxygen with
Karolina Gruszka, two European films starring Kasia Smutniak, Agnieszka Wójtowicz-Vosloo's new American release After.Life, as well as movies with the music composed by
Jan A.P. Kaczmarek and Abel Korzeniowski.
