The project prepared as an exhibition - not a presentation of unfinished or found works - impeaches the methods of effectuated memorising and systematising. Czyszczoń and Łakomy emphasise the moment of imparting a meaning, when the jottings, mostly irrelevant and hermetic, are transformed into "actual work".
Jakub Czyszczoń uses objects from a methodically developed collection of leaflets, reproductions, photographs or just found things with a theme of iconographic motives referring to the artist's private mythology.
Piotr Łakomy focuses on analysing the object as a medium of art. He recalls abstracted thoughts and experiences which he processes into abstract objects, giving his memories a tangible, but nowise sentimental form.
The artists:
Jakub Czyszczoń (b.1983) graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań, where he lives and works. He is involved in various activities in the field of painting and working with the object.
Piotr Łakomy (b.1983), graduate of the Institute of Fine Arts at the University of Zielona Góra. Lives and works in Poznań. He creates installations and works in the domain of widely understood painting. He also realises public space projects.
