A bass player, a composer, and an educator. Widely known as a session musician – he has performed on over 120 albums. Interestingly, he has also recorded nine solo albums and issued four guitar trainings.

He has worked with various musicians from all over the world, from different musical ambiences, just to mention: the Polish song queen Maryla Rodowicz, the famous Enrique Iglesisas, the drum guru Simon Philips, Polish pop star Edyta Górniak, the legendary Basia Trzetrzelewska, or Nicko McBrain form Iron Maiden.
Pilichowski started his music carrier in 1992. His debut album was released in 1995. He turned to jazz-rock within Pilichowski Band, formed in 2004 by Michał Dąbrówka: drums, Wojciech Olszak: keyboard instruments, Marcin Nowakowski: saxophones, Akai EWI, Bartłomiej Papierz: electric guitar
Later on he has worked with other bands. From the early nineties he has occasionally played in a bass trio with Mieczysław Jurecki and Krzysztof Ścierański. From 1995 he has performed with in Woobie Doobie ensemble. He has had an adventure with hardcore funk with the band Karate Musiq.
In 2006 Pilichowski recorded an album named Yeennoo with a blues-rock group named Yeednoo. In 2005 he released the first of two albums of the group ΠR2 , with Marek Raduli: guitar, and Tomek Łosowski: drums.
Pilichowski is respected for his work as a lecturer. He teaches young guitarists at significant workshops all over the country, e.g. in Muzyczna Owczarnia club, Jaworki; Stalowa Wola; Kliczków Castle. He is also the patron of the largest Polish bassist forum Woobiedoobie.com, and a member of The Polish Society of the Phonographic Industry (Związek Producentów Audio Video, ZPAV).
Since 2002 Pilichowski's sound is based on Ashdown amplifiers.
