In the annual survey of the "Jazz Forum" monthly readers, it was awarded "The Best Jazz Band of The Year" four times.Twenty years of WALK AWAY activity has been always successful.
The band performed in all recognised clubs and concert halls from the Ural mountains to the Mediterranean Sea. They participated the most significant world festivals. An important moment in the group's career was the tour with Miles Davis as a support band.
Walk Away regularly co-operates with a superstar of jazz vocal, Urszula Dudziak and such artists as Michal Urbaniak - viol, Ewa Bem, Lora Szafran, Ryszard Rynkowski, Mieczyslaw Szczesniak. Also the most recognised American musicians from USA played with the band: Mike Stern, Eric Marienthal, Mino Cinelu, Frank Gambale, David Fiuczynski, Randy Brecker, Bill Evans, Dean Brown, Victor Bailey, David Gilmore, Bob Berg, Joey Calderazzo, David Kikoski.
