Almost 200 objects are presented in the exhibition, including copyright prints, poster and album cover drafts, sketches, graphic panels, and videos. Thanks to the archive of Zamecznik's work developed by the Archeology of Photography Foundation we can discover the artist’s ways of searching for and crossing the borders of photography and his interest in movement, speed, colour, and graphic and abstract layouts. It also systematizes his research in terms of pure photography – unprocessed, for use in graphic design. Anna Lacoste, the exhibition's curator, exposed the universal character of Zamecznik’s art so as to situate his work in the context of both the European and worldwide history of photography.
The exhibition is accompanied by an extensive catalogue, published by the Musée de l'Elysée and Les Editions Noir sur Blanc, in two languages: French and English. The catalogue was published in the Collection Musée de l'Elysée series. The editor of the volume is Anne Lacoste. The book also contains texts by Agnieszka Szewczyk, Karolina Zielinska-Lewandowska, and Karolina Puchała-Rojek and is available at the foundation in Warsaw.
