This is not Urszula Wilk's first success in China. In 2012, an exhibition of her works titled Lines was presented at the Shangyuan Art Museum in Beijing, where she was an artist in residence as a beneficiary of the grant from the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. Urszula Wilk also received support from the programme Polish Culture Around The World, co-ordinated by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, to participate in the exhibition closing the project.
During her first visit to China, Urszula Wilk also created a series of works on Chinese paper titled Unsent Letters from Beijing. Some of them were exhibited in China, and after the artist's return to Poland in 2013 they were presented at her solo exhibition at the Entropia Gallery in Wrocław and purchased for the collection of the Lower Silesian Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts. In November 2015, they will be shown at the Wrocław Contemporary Museum as part of the collective exhibition of works from the Society's collection, titled there is/there isn't.
