A monodrama, written and performed by Kinga Kaczor and directed by Maria Kwiecień was honored in the Art of Monologue competition.
The jury took into consideration the whole group work, including the author, director and performers. The protagonist is a girl who dreams about a career as a vocalist. She goes out on stage, but the words of the song simply stick in her throat and she begins to talk about her past.
This is a lonely, surreal journey back into childhood, where there beats the source of all our most real fears, says Maria Maria Kwiecień, who describes this monodrama as 'performative song'.
Kinga Kaczor sings and recites the creed of bashful Kasia. At the moment when she must begin her performance, instead of captivating the audience with fantastic, amorous hits, instead she launches into an internal monologue. She settles her accounts with past demons and purges herself about the bitter truth of her difficult childhood and despotic father.
